“Day of Communism and Nazism victims” is a holiday of the European campaign for history falsification

On August 23, 2011, the Ministers of Justice of EU Member States have officially celebrated “Day of victims of the totalitarian regimes in Warsaw. As a result, “Warsaw declaration” has been accepted in which the attempt to equate the fascist Germany and the USSR is made once again. The deputy of the Kharkov town council, the historian Vladimir Mikhaylovich Lushnitsky tells about the true value of this action, historical events which the European politicians aspire to hide by this action.

- On August 23, 2011, “Day of victims of totalitarian regimes” was officially celebrated in Europe which assigns the identical responsibility for an unbinding of the Second World War to the USSR and Hitlerite Germany. In your opinion, is the large-scale campaign for history revision of the Second World War really carried out in Europe now?

Really, such policy is actively carried on in Europe. One of the examples of falsification is that the date of the beginning of the Second World War is not September 30, 1938 when there was a Munich arrangement, moreover, the date of September 1, 1939 is prejudiced when the fighting against Poland has begun, but they offer the date of August 23, 1939 when the Soviet-German non-aggression pact has been signed. The Soviet Union is accused that it, ostensibly, together with Germany became the originators of war starting equal in rights. But the pact of Molotov-Ribbentrop has been signed already when “democratic” states as England and France almost for a year before have betrayed the allied Czechoslovakia in 1938. And Poland played the shameful role in it, “the first victim of war” which, having received Teshinsk region, also participated in starting of the repartition of the European countries.

Besides, it is not necessary to forget that the Soviet Union, having signed the Soviet-German contract, could break the European political situation to its party. After all it is known that on August 24, Goering was ready to fly to London that in a case of not signing of the Soviet-German contract, to conclude the similar contract with England. Thereby England of Chamberlain has betrayed Czechoslovakia in 1938 and has betrayed Poland in the autumn of 1939 because it had the maniacal thought to localize the Hitler's aggression against the Soviet Union. In this connection, the culprits, that Hitler has felt permissiveness in Europe, were so-called West European democratic powers. After all when the militarization of the Rhine region has been spent, England and France as the main guarantors of observance of the Versailles system of contracts after the First World War have kept silent.

When Hitler began to create the modern Wehrmacht instead of hundred-thousandth army, they kept silence too. When the interdiction for possession by aircraft and tanks has been broken, they kept silence too. They have provoked Hitler only in one maniacal desire: to eliminate the main enemy - the USSR by Hitler's hands, one of their opponents. Thus, the culprits of the Second World War were not so much Hitler and not the Soviet Union at all, but first of all France and England which have provoked the beginning of war. All their politics was a politics of Hitler pushing to the war against the Soviet Union. Therefore the establishment of “Day of victims of totalitarian regimes” by Europe or as it was called in initial edition “Day of Communism and Nazism victims”, I consider as political provocation.

- There is an opinion that the role of pro-fascist, dictatorial regimes in Europe was so big before the beginning of the Second World War that they have been occupied by Hitler not so much, as have participated in fascist aggression. The matter is about Hungary, Poland, Norway, Romania, the Baltic countries and others. And they were the aggressors not because they were occupied or have been forced, but because they have supported the political system similar to the Hitlerite in their countries.

- I will result one significant figure. 1 million 800 thousand aggressors not of German nationality were at war on the party of fascist Germany on the Soviet-German front for the years of war from 1941 to 1945. It is the huge army. For example, in Lithuania in 1926 the pro-fascist regime of Smetona has been established. Next day after his coming to power all heads of Communist Party have been shot and there was no democratic regime till summer of 1940 when the parts of Red army have entered the territory of Lithuania. The Baltic nationalists, having considering themselves as the Aryans, have met Hitler as ally, as person who carries out their secret desires and dreams. As to Bulgaria, so it is the unique ally of Germany who has not sent any soldier on the Soviet-German front because the Bulgarians had still live memory that Bulgaria has received independence thanks to Russia in the second half of 19 centuries and its people have not been destroyed as a result of a genocide. The Bulgarians did not declare the war to the Soviet Union and were not at war with it. Other dictatorial regimes, whether it be Romania, Hungary or Finland, delivered the gun meat and had the interests. Romania pretended to Odessa and all northern Black Sea Coast. Poland dreamt to receive all Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania, to recreate the great Rech Pospolitoya. Hungary pretended to the big territories too. The war was favourable to all of them, they dreamt to expand the borders of the states.

- And the French government of Peten has declared that will be at war against Bolsheviks...

And here there is nothing surprising. In the beginning of 1940 year, the perfect air units of France, which was at war with Germany by then, were not on border with Germany, but in the Near East and was going to bombard the Baku oil fields. Therefore there are a lot of factors which say that the modern crusade in which participated not only the reactionaries of Germany, but also the reactionaries of all continental Europe has been organized against the Soviet Union. All politics, so-called, the western democracy, first of all England and France, is a politics which has resulted their people on a side of defeat. U. Churchill has declared in the first day of the Great Patriotic War on June 22, 1941year: “Hitler has attacked Russia, England is rescued now”, meaning that if the fascist armies did not occupy Russia, so it necessarily would occupy England.

- That is, already presently the provocative decisions on the rearrangement of all responsibility to the USSR are accepted by successors of the regimes, really responsible for starting of the Second World War?

Naturally! For example, the emigrants became the head of the Baltic States after 1991, who ran in a fascist transport and have got over ocean, and, having come back, have taken certain positions in these states. By the way, the resolution on establishment of “Day of victims of totalitarian regimes” in OSCE was lobbied just by Lithuania together with Slovenia. As a matter of fact, all these provocations are the attempt eternally of yesterday's to reconsider the history as the modern youth does not know it. The youth is fed with nationalist fairy tales about the greatness of the people. It allows to manipulate the public consciousness because that generation which knew about the reasons of war, has died, and the new, unfortunately, cannot receive the high-grade, objective information because it do not want to give.

- In this connection the attempt to present Europe of 30-40th years, except for Germany similar to present “tolerant” Europe, is not well-founded propagation? Are these absolutely different state formations?

Certainly, it is impossible to compare Europe of 30th years with the present one, because this is the other generation, but these countries as then had the economic interests in war and now. The representatives of the large capital, where it is possible to get the profit, are ready to provoke any international conflicts. The last bright example is Libya. At first Iraq, where the weapon of mass destruction was searched but have not found, but have taken the oil to their hands. Now Libya, ostensibly, dissatisfied with Kaddafi, has put the rascals and gangsters at the head of a transition government by the hands of the European Union and the USA and those have received the Libyan gas and oil.

- Actually, the acceptance of this “Day of victims” is one of the aggressive actions during the international competition for reception of certain dividends?

Yes. Russia has the big economic potential, at least owing to possession of huge power resources. Therefore it is necessary to press, make silent the economic competitor in order to dominate in the world. And for the USA it is very necessary, as the USA is the main debtor of a world scale and US dollar is the world “МММ”. If the nations of the world start to think what was with them and how to live further, so the well-being of gold billion will fail suddenly because they live because of gathering of all other globe.

- Do you agree that the support of neo-fascist movements in the former republics of the USSR is, firstly, the continuation of the campaign on revision of history, and, secondly, the aspiration to bring contention and conflicts between the countries of the former USSR?

It is really so. I want to remind that “orange” Yushchenko and Timoshenko have come to power with these slogans. But the regionals, who have come to power on slogans of second state Russian language, on the development of all communications with Russia, have departed from the pre-election pledges and now dance under a pipe of the West Ukrainian nationalist leaders. For example, Anna Herman, the well-known Russophobe, still remains in a big-times politics, supervises all humanitarian block of president Yanukovich.

We, communists, consider that Yanukovich and the Party of Regions have betrayed the voters. The agreement on support of Yanukovich in the second round has been signed with the Block of the Left forces between the first and second round of presidential election that Timoshenko wouldn’t pass. Yanukovich has given the number of obligations and 900 thousand voices who have voted in the first round for the communists, have allowed him to become the President of Ukraine. But after the elections, if we hoped for the development of mutually advantageous Russian-Ukrainian relations during the first months, so there are no hopes now. Again we look to Europe in which nobody waits for us, for which we are a source of raw materials and a place of placing of harmful technologies and we still turn away from Russia. That fact that the Ukrainian management refuses to enter the Customs Union, incurring the huge economic losses and thus doesn't count on dividends if they enter Europe, shows that Ukraine is the independent state only under the name. It is dependent from the West, dependent on a politics of the nationalists in the Western Ukraine, dependent on private interests of the large Ukrainian capital.
