Mass war against monuments to Bandera and Shukhevich began in the Western Ukraine

“Monuments war" started by the Ukrainian nationalists from All-Ukrainian Union “Svoboda” in East Ukraine wasn't slow to respond in the West: in Lviv, in the village Volya-Zaderevetskaya in Stryishchina, the monuments and memorial tablets to heads of OUN-UPA are damaged and destroyed in Zdolbunovo.

Unknown malefactors damaged a memorial tablet to the chief commander of unitary enterprise Roman Shukhevich on a bas-relief near a museum around Belogorshcha in Lviv.

“The message that unknown damaged the memorial plate was on March 6 at 20.40 from employees of a museum”, the head of department of public relations of Central Administrative Board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Lvov area Svetlana Dobrovolskaya reported to Interfax Ukraine agency, reports the Censor. NET.

Besides, according to her, the cable was found on the monument to R. Shukhevich established in a yard of a museum. Unknown threw it over a sculpture neck, but militia can't tell yet that the malefactors tried to dump a monument from a pedestal.

The monument to R. Shukhevich is established in an estate yard where he disappeared from People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs and died in the last fight on March 5, 1950.

As earlier it was reported, on the night of March 6 in the village Volya-Zaderevatsky unknown damaged a monument and a bas-relief to the leader of OUN Stepan Bandera.

As the director of the memorial estate in Volya-Zaderevatsky Oksana Bandera-Pizhik told, the workers of a museum found damages of a bust and a memorial tablet in the morning on March 6.

“Both on a monument and on the tablet Stepan Bandera's face was injured, the director noted. The monument is made of marble, covered with bronze therefore it was difficult to malefactors to put damages. And the memorial tablet and the bas-relief were damaged more strongly”.

According to the words of Bandera-Pizhik, the workers found also the crime tool near a museum – it was transferred to militiamen.

Meanwhile in Zdolbunovo (Rivnensk area) the deputy of local regional council Sergey Kondrachuk reported that vandals destroyed a memorial table to Stepan Bandera in Zdolbunovsky central regional hospital. According to him, the damage was revealed in the morning on March 7.

The policy of aggressive nationalist “Ukrainization” pursued in Ukraine from the very beginning of its existence as the certain state started bearing fruit. It is impossible to unite in one country so different ideologies as fascism, neo-Nazism, nationalism and fight against them.

Stepan Bandera and Oleg Koshevoy will never be in one system, Sidor Kovpak and Roman Shukhevich will never be at war on one party together, Bogdan Khmelnytsky and Ivan Mazepa will never stand under one banners.

It is undoubted that these actions became the answer to demolition of monuments to the Soviet soldiers in the cities and villages of the Western Ukraine, their provocation concerning veterans of the Great Patriotic War and recent incidents with monuments to Vladimir Lenin in Sumshchina and Poltavshchina.

It is doubtless that such actions are the prevention to president Victor Yanukovych and “Party of Regions” about that further footsie with nationalist circles can lead to a situation aggravation in Ukraine.
