Bishkek-2012: they aren't at war with monuments here (Photos)!
At last, the spring came to Bishkek. Though it was fairly late this year … The citizens discuss how it is good that no revolution happened now, as already happened earlier. And in the spring. Neither riots, nor “campaigns” … And they don't break the monuments here at all. At most, they will transfer on other “ideological” places, as, for example, the monuments to Lenin and Dzerzhinsky. But it doesn't belong to monuments to soldiers of the Great Patriotic War at all which are a lot in capital
Here only some of them:
The Victory monument - Victory Square, it was opened to 40 anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, in 1985. Three bent arches represent the yurta and a statue of the Kirghiz woman is in it. She stands under red calico in the form of funeral wreath near the eternal fire, waits the man who won't come back home from the front …
Monument to soldiers – Komsomol members of the Second World War, 1941-1945
Heroes Avenue (on crossing of Molodaya Gvardiya Boulevard and Chui prospectus). It was opened on May 9, 1975, to 30 anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. The busts of the heroes –citizens of Kyrgyzstan of the Great Patriotic War are established: D. Shopokov, N. Ananyev, G. Petrenko, I.Moskalenko, G. Konkin -the heroes – panfilovets who were heroically protecting Moscow near Dubosekovo halt. Here is also a bust to Cholponbay Tulerbdiyev, who closed the body the embrasure of enemy bunker on the Voronezh front on August 6, 1942.
Monument to major general Ivan Panfilov. He was lost on November 18, 1941 at Gusenevo's village of the Volokolamsk area on approaches to Moscow. The rank “Hero of the Soviet Union” was appropriated to him posthumously.
Why in Kyrgyzstan where the serious political passions boil, unlike the same Georgia representing by an example of democracy, monuments to heroes of the Great Patriotic War comes to nobody’s mind to take them down? Let even under the most plausible excuse …
Here is Ikram Gapparovich Mameshev's opinion - the expert, the head of department of the summary analysis and preparation of the Ombudsman Machinery of the Kirghiz Republic:
- The monument demolition, especially to the participants and heroes of the Great Patriotic War is a blasphemy! Those who do that simply spit in the soul of the ancestors. And there is a full consent in such assessment in our republic.
Here I live in the apartment house. Now we still have three participants of war, but before earlier they were much … on May 9, the men took out a long table, pulled out simple snack and remembered. And the whole house congratulated both them and themselves. Because it was not the war of the Russians, Ukrainians, Armenians, Kirghiz … It was the war of all Soviet people for the freedom.
Also it is not necessary to divide: these were killed so much and that were killed so many at the front. All were at war for the Homeland! My six uncles left to the front but not all of them had returned. But they protected the land and therefore, the memory of them, of all soldiers of the Great Patriotic War, is sacred. And the monuments too!
