Israel is indignant of “Batkivshchyna” and “Svoboda” association

The ambassador of Israel in Ukraine Reuven Dinel hopes very much that the pre-election rhetoric of the representatives of the party “Svoboda” will be changed.

He declared to ZN.UA about it, making comments on results of parliamentary elections of Ukraine. In particular, the ambassador told that each people have the right to choose those people in parliament whom consider necessary. As to passing of Svoboda party to parliament, he in particular noted that he “is disturbed not so much by party “Svoboda”, how its association with Batkivshchyna party which is rather legitimate”. According to the ambassador, the rapprochement of these parties is a tendency. And it disturbs him.

“The right of everyone to choose the representatives of those parties whom he wants. But when the radical party incorporates with recent “Batkivshchyna” leading party, so it disturbs me as well as the state of Israel”, he specified. “Because it is impossible to sit with a bandage in the face of and to say that you hear nothing, you see nothing. I heard both anti-Semitic and semi-anti-Semitic statements from the head of “Svoboda”. And it is very unpleasant, when such political forces come to the power in the state”, the Israeli diplomat emphasized.

“I am sure that partly it was a pre-election fever, desire to receive the votes as much as possible. I hope very much that after elections this rhetoric will change”, Dinel noted.

It seems that if the nationalist and fascist moods will register in new parliament of Ukraine for a long time, the country can become the derelict in the world community, considering the most powerful role of the pro-Israeli lobby in world politics. And in it a case the supporters of the European orientation of Ukraine should forget about the membership in EEC or NATO forever. Such anti-Jewish aspirations are not allowed even in the odious countries of Baltic for which just Tyagnybok's party is “famous”.

And some experts are sure that actually “Svoboda” is a loud-hailer of just that Galician, Canadian (the World Congress of Ukrainians), Australian circles which spoiled the hands in million innocent victims in the Second World War and then found a shelter outside of Ukraine. It seems that ashes of victims of the Holocaust didn't reach the hearts of the European politicians yet.
