Moldova: the unionists were repulsed in Balti in proper manner!

On August 5 in Balti, as shortly before it was on July 22 in Cahul, the supporters of elimination of the independent of the Republic of Moldova and its accession to Romania couldn't march around the city. The hundred protesting didn’t let them to do it. The planned triumph of the unionists turned into the shameful flight.

And here there is the new attempt. This time the unionists, the main part of whom arrived from Prut, tried to carry out the march of their supporters in Balti city on August 5. The participants of the unionist stock “Actiunea-2012” intended to carry out the association march with Romania under the slogan “Unirea face puterea” (“Association is a force”).

And again they met repulse: the peace stock against the idea of occurrence of Moldova in structure of Romania was made together by the League of the Russian youth of Moldova, party “Patriots of Moldova” and movement “United Gagauzia”. About 5000 persons gathered on Independentsy Street to make a protest - it compelled the unionists to refuse the march carrying out of on a central square and to leave the adjacent streets … As a result, they had to sit down in buses accompanied by policemen and to leave Balti. It was not possible for them to carry out the March of association!

The participants of a patriotic action in Balti shared the opinion on events:

The chairman of the League of the Russian youth of Moldova and founder of Sodruzhestvo Fund Igor Tulyantsev:

- We managed to unite and show today that we are ready together, independent of anything, to protect our country. We acted as united team. Transatlantic provokers who try “to shake the boat” worldwide, didn't disregard also our country Moldova. They make anti-state policy in Moldova through the pocket satellite Romania; it is the purpose to deprive our Homeland of a historical link to Russia by substitution of historic facts and attempts of history falsification. The people of Moldova are wiser and won't allow the manifestation of ideas of fascism and national intolerance on our land.

Bashkan of Gagauzia Mikhail Formuzal:

- We arrived to the northern capital in order to support the inhabitants of Balti. We are on own land, on the Homeland. And if someone doesn't like the sovereignty of Moldova, let buy the ticket at the station and go where he wants.

Chairman of the party “Patriots of Moldova” Mikhail Garbuz:

- Long live the Great Moldova! We won’t give any centimeter of our land. I am glad that we were possible to manage in this action with the League of the Russian youth and “United Gagauzia”. It is the first step to consolidation of our society. And we fixed the opponents of the Moldavian statehood’ wagon!


Director of Sodruzhestvo Fund Boris Shapovalov:

- Today the very significant event took place in Balti, there was an association of the Moldavian civil patriotic society. The Moldavians, Russian, Gagauz people, Ukrainians acted together as a united front against the threat of unionism and disorder of the Moldavian statehood. The multinational Moldavian people contrary protected the Moldavian independence and the sovereignty in spite of the weak-willed selling power.
