No to fascism in Moldova!

The round table on a theme: “Fascism as reality of the modern world” took place in Kishinev. The non-governmental organizations were its organizers: Sodruzhestvo Fund, “Assembly of the people of Moldova”, “Moldova without Nazism”. The representatives of the Scientific Production Association, the youth organizations, political parties, political scientists, representatives of mass media, the international organizations took part in work of a round table. Participants of discussion agreed that, unfortunately, the manifestations of fascism, Nazism take place both in modern Moldavian society and in other European countries. Following the results of action the resolution was adopted which will be transferred to the chairman of parliament of Moldova Marian Lupu... the resolution of a round table “Fascism as a reality of the modern world”. We, the participants of a round table “Fascism as a reality of the modern world”, bend the heads before the memory of millions victims of Nazism and condemn the purposeful process of history falsification which gains in strength in the modern world. The main idea of modern revisionists is the justification of equal responsibility of the Soviet board and Nazi regime for XX century crimes (first of all the Second World War beginning). The number of countries of the Eastern Europe tries to rehabilitate the criminal regimes cooperating with Hitler and condemned by the Nuremberg tribunal and at the same time to forbid the European communist and left-wing parties. We express the concern about the approval of Nazi movement and glorification of military criminals by assignment of names to streets, constructions of monuments and carrying out the demarches. We note with indignation that the historical revisionism based on idea of the Romanian unionism even more often began to get into political life of the Republic of Moldova. The government encourages the supporters of destruction of own country for the first time in the world practice. The youth organizations of neo-Nazi trend are registered officially. The Romanian unionists march on streets of the Moldavian cities with the symbolic of the neighboring state, the member of EU. Absence of punishment pushes the pro-Romanian adjusted vandals on further defilement of monuments to fighters with fascism. The history falsification became the main weapon of revisionists in destruction of the Moldavian statehood. Since 2009, the textbooks “History of the Romanians” were returned in educational process, humiliating the dignity of citizens of our country. The Romanian fascist Antonescu is eulogized in them “for policy of association of the Romanian lands”, but it is mentioned nothing more about 300 thousand killed in the territories occupied by Romania. Similar practice of copying of history should be immediately stopped. In this regard, we, the representatives of civil society and political parties, address to the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova with the following requirements: • To accept the bill “About inadmissibility of actions on rehabilitation of Nazism, glorification of Nazi criminals and their accomplices”, registered in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova on December 1, 2011. The adoption of this bill becomes the testimony of commitment of the Moldavian state to the European democratic principles. • To carry out the parliamentary hearings on a theme “History teaching in educational institutions of Moldova” with presence of representatives of the civil society. • To promote the studying return of “Integrated history”, according to recommendations of the Council of Europe. • To reconsider a number of the adopted Laws striking the rights of representatives of ethnic minorities and limiting the sphere of functioning of the Russian language in the Republic of Moldova. • To provide the safety of monuments to fighters against fascism in the Republic of Moldova, to promote the war termination with monuments, to return a name of the Hero of the Soviet Union Alexey Belsky to one of the streets of Kishinev. Our duty and our task are to preserve the international peace, statehood and a neutrality of Moldova, to provide worthy conditions for a free and full development of all people, irrespective of ethnic, confessional or any other origin. Participants of a round table call all political parties, non-governmental organizations of the country, civil society as a whole to win the indifference. Threat of emergence of neo-Nazism in the Republic of Moldova is real and only having united our efforts we will reject the pressure of Nazism, racism, anti-Semitism, xenophobia. There is no place to such phenomena in the XXI century.
