The Minister of Defence of Georgia Irakli Alasania spoke on a number of the questions concerning the national security of Georgia and policy of military cooperation with a number of the countries. - Time came to create a tripartite format of cooperation from the point of view of the military industry with Azerbaijan and Turkey.

We have fine relations with the American marines that develop our opportunities.

There is an agreement issued between Obama and Saakashvili on expanded military cooperation, vehicles of armed forces, park of helicopters. This agreement in force also moves ahead. At this stage we don't think of acquisition of other equipment.

Alasania also spoke about the relations of Georgia and Russia:

- In long-term prospect Russia needs the stable neighbor in the south – united Georgia which can be trusted. For this purpose five, seven or 15 years can be necessary … A lot of things depend on us though there are some factors which we can't supervise.
