Suvorov Military School is creating in Nagorno-Karabakh

The legendary in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh commandos — the major general Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan directs the works on creation of the Karabakh Suvorov and Madatov military school. It is under construction near a pearl of the Armenian architecture — the well-known monastery Gandzasar.

He told our portal, why it is necessary to build a military school in Nagorno-Karabakh:

- Idea of creation of a military school belongs to Levon Ayrapetyan. He told about it to the president of NKR Bako Sahakyan, and also heads of the government, the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff. Idea of creation of school discussed and approved.

Then they visited various military schools to get acquainted with foreign experience. Also visited the Leningrad military school. I can tell that we will have Suvorov military school of the Soviet type.

Training will be conducted in four languages: Armenian, Russian, English and the language of the probable opponent. Today our officers leave secondary school and only then arrive in a military school where the term of training makes four years. And here even before receipt already there will be four years of training in the military environment!

300 cadets will be trained here. Our task is to take the best and to introduce in educational process. We give great attention also to development of material base. A number of objects which will be directly connected with school is under construction. For example, automobile racetrack, training center, housing.

Creation of Suvorov school by the name of Suvorov and Madatov important not only for Artsakh, but also for Armenia. And it is clear: we prepare for war that there would be no war! It is necessary to have strong army! We have no opportunity to have big army on the number therefore it is necessary to train our soldiers well.

I consider that it shows our opportunities for protection of the homeland! All Armenian nation, and foreign Armenian diaspora including, is ready to protect the homeland. And this readiness will be seen by all those who would like to solve a problem by power, military way.
We protect the homeland! And cadets for training will arrive not only from Armenia and Karabakh, but also from diaspora.

We looked at the Russian system when the soldier serves one year, and came to a conclusion that our soldier has to serve two years. For four educational periods it is possible to teach him much! And the task consists in that we not simply trained the soldier during this time, but would train the real specialist soldier.

Armenia is very small country, but we can use the most modern means to estimate a condition of our armies. And we estimate it, frankly speaking, critically: we see that there is more potential for development.

The human factor is very important in this sense: the young man has not only to study military science, but also to broaden the horizons. In a military school there will be a football field, gyms for boxing, fight and weightlifting, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts. Nearby there will be a big greenhouse and an orchard.

We go one step ahead today in many respects! And we also have no other option — only the one: to do everything to lift discipline, fighting capacity.
