The Russian Club started to function in Kiev (Video)

Constituent meeting of the Kiev Russian Club took place in Kiev. Founders of club are the representatives of the metropolitan Russophilic intellectuals. The reports according to the main documents of club were made by coordinators of the project: the head of movement National cathedral of Ukraine Igor Druz, political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko, journalist Dmitry Skvortsov.

The ideology of club is stated in the Manifesto which was presented by Igor Druz: “The club task is the open promoting of Russophilic idea in the capital of Ukraine and its regions, and creation preparation of united Russian movement. The Russian people went from Kiev and all-Russian movement of Ukraine will go from Kiev also. Even if the project of united all-Russian movement won't crown success, it will lead to creation of confederation of the Russophilic movements. At the same time, the clubmen are loyal to ideas of reunion of east Slavs in any form, to formation of the Eurasian associations, but as the priority consider the revival of the all-Russian state in the form of the orthodox empire”.

The partners of the Russian Club coordinators called the movement “National Cathedral” and political club “Alternative”. Igor Druz also said to the participants an oral greeting of the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada O.A. Tsaryov and E.I.Tsarkov.

The meeting of the Russian Club was sustained in orthodox and autocratic stylistics: opening was preceded by a long collective public prayer under the direction of two priests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchy and also listening of a song of the Cossack Kuban chorus about Russia on motive of “Farewell of the Slav”. «The main values of club are creative and understood in development Orthodoxy, autocracy, nationality, as the spiritual and political unity of the Russian nation, sense and its life form for the sake of mankind rescue”, is told in the text of its Manifesto. According to I.Druz, the founders consider the influential monarchic “The Kiev club of the Russian nationalists”, working in 1908-1918 and got P.A.Stolypin's support as the historical predecessor. At the same time, noted Druz, we, the present clubmen, are not the nationalists as we do not put the interests of the nation above God and Orthodox Church, church rescue of each person.

The head of representation of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Sergey Baranov read to participants of meeting a greeting from the deputy club “The Russian Parliamentarian” of the Federal Assembly of Russia at the desire of its management and called the representatives of the Russian organizations and the companies in Kiev to support the compatriots and to participate in intellectual and cultural work of the Russian Club.

Rostislav Ishchenko in the report on the statement on a situation with the Russian language in Kiev noted that “The head of the Kiev city administration Alexander Popov and Kiev city while, unfortunately, don't carry out the law which came into force “Of bases of the state language policy” according to which the Russian language is regional in Kiev.

More than 70 % of inhabitants of Kiev are the Russian-speaking, and 25 % of inhabitants of Kiev consider it as native according to Census of 2001, including 14 % who called themselves as the ethnic Ukrainians … Kiev is also the historical homeland of the Russian language”, is told in the Club statement.

At the same time, marked out Ishchenko, Kiev is not Lviv where the authorities also refused to carry out the language law. Next year the elections of the mayor of Kiev are coming to Popov, and may be 25-30 % of these voices of the inhabitants of Kiev who are actively supporting the Russian language will be lack for him. Someone will vote for new bridges and roads and the future of children is more important for someone. It is necessary to allow the Russian in system of secondary and higher education and preschool education of the city as the majority of pupils of Kiev are the Russian-speaking and the initial training in foreign language sharply reduces their level of knowledge”.

Dmitry Skvortsov presented the address to the president of the Russian Federation V. V. Putin, and the mayor of Moscow S. S. Sobyanin “To the 360th anniversary of reunion of Ukraine with Russia” with the offer to establish in Moscow a monument to tsar Alexey Mikhaylovich, who took the hard historical decision on Little Russia's acceptance in structure of Russia in 1653. “Now the establishment of such monument isn't obviously possible in Kiev”.
