Uzbekistan focuses on NATO?

Toktogul Kakchekeevich Kakchekeev is the cochairman of the Association of graduates of the Russian higher education institutions of Kyrgyzstan and also the executive director of association of political scientists of the republic. At the request of our portal he commented on recent incident on border of two next republics: Uzbekistan and Kirgizstan and also succession of events in the region:

- Do such similar incidents often occur in Central Asia? What are they caused by?

- The similar disputed relations take place from the moment of finding of independence of the countries of Central Asia, the battle contact happened on a strip of state border of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan almost annually. As Uzbekistan from first days of the independence unilaterally puts the minefields and other engineering constructions of protection of not delimited border of the republic on a line with the adjacent states established to administrative border. The pets, namely about several hundred were undermined, tens of people, namely Kyrgyzstan's citizens were lost and got wounds on the established mine obstacles on a line of not delimited border of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

- What are the relations of Kyrgyzstan with Uzbekistan in a whole?

- Here it is necessary to remind of invasion of the Islamic movement of Uzbekistan into Batkensk region of Kyrgyzstan, being a component of OTO of Tajikistan in civil war. Therefore the immediate task of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan was a restoration of Fergana Valley against Tashkent, as was shown during the Andizhan events. Proceeding from it, it is possible to draw the conclusion that the borders of Central Asia are used for political struggle, further for a transportation of drug traffics in the Russian Federation and further in EU and the USA. And it is reflected on a situation condition in border area.

- Does the different relation of these two countries influences a situation to the Collective Security Treaty Organization? Is it fraught with new complications?

- The exit of Uzbekistan from CSTO is a strategic course for finding of a political dominant by it in Central Asia with a support of the USA and NATO, as probable member of NATO having experience of cooperation within the Transnistrian Moldavian Republic and “Indestructible freedom”. This message can be developed in wider scale of an embodiment of the American idea of “Big Central Asia” with the center in Uzbekistan. The idea realization of “Northern Uzbek autonomy of Afghanistan” is possible also that will allow to take Russia away from Tajikistan by means of similar combinations.
