Hayk Babukhanyan: It is necessary to be proactive against grantsuckers!

The article with unexpected assessment of state and prospects of the Armenian-Russian relations' development was recently on one of portals in Armenia. The following was reported on the Analitik. Am portal: In spite of the fact that Armenia and Russia are allies, now Armenia is the member of EEC that assumes the ethnic Armenians have to be unalarmed about the life and business in Russia, than in America or Europe, however there are political prosecutions in Russia and for the sake of big business interests people can snap their fingers at representatives of fraternal people and cause damage to those who worked and promoted prosperity of their country within many years, having received thus a number of letters of thanks from various structures of the same country … In Russia there is still negative relation to Armenians, therefore the access to big money should be blocked to Armenians.
The famous Armenian politician, the deputy of National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Hayk Babukhanyan commented on the situation for our portal:
— How often do the mass media of the republic report about the relations of Russia and Armenia, being strategic employees as we know?
- Certainly, they report much: the Armenian-Russian relations are one of the main subjects. But, as we know, mass media are different. The patriotic, national focused mass media of Armenia support the friendship between our countries, cooperation expansion. But there are also other mass media which were created on grants. It is accepted to call them as grantsuckers. They carry out the orders from the outside. And, of course, they carry out those installations which their owners give.
These owners are known — Soros, different state and non-state sources. And we see that this mass media segment is engaged in to blacken Russia, the Armenian-Russian relations, and also those politicians who support strategic cooperation of Russia and Armenia.
— The politicians are fairly got it — it is enough to remember the epithets…
- There is an open direct attack on politicians. Why? For that simple reason they prevent to put decisions into practice in political and other spheres which would be favourable to owners of these mass media. Here there are absolutely idiotic articles similar to that is published in Analitik. Am. The accurate order is visible and persons interested to execute it will always be found.
— Thus any opportunities are used to submit information in the necessary light.

- If there is a command from owners to make the subversive information activity, so it will be executed. It doesn’t depend on legitimacy of similar actions and even ordinary logic at all: if there is a command— it will be carried out. Everything will be used against Russia, against the Armenian-Russian friendship — it isn’t necessary to doubt it.
Some our western partners invest huge amounts of money in political and public organizations, in mass media. And try to find any production they would invest money! For example, why it is necessary to invest in agriculture — it is more favourable to organize a new Maidan. The Maidan in Ukraine arose not just like — it is the result of concrete monetary investments.
So, the mass media calling themselves free and independent aren’t free and not independent! They completely depend on grantors, and all of us see the result of it.
— There is a point of view they wanted to make a new Maidan in the manner of the Kiev from protests against rates growth for power in Yerevan. Do you agree with it?
- Any occasion, especially, discontent of people is used. Whether there is a speech about increase of energy price or fare or something else. The concrete occasion isn’t important — it is necessary to use a situation and to turn the course of discontent towards a new Maidan. Quickly there are corresponding slogans, there is an organizational work, the mass media are connected to this affair. There is rather big group of people who have a task to transfer a discontent situation to performances. Even they can explain cold weather with intrigues of Russia …
But there is nothing new in it— the West did and does always that. Moreover, it doesn’t hide it. It means, it is necessary to oppose it with measures. It is necessary to protect national security, information security, to make active those structures which are responsible for neutralization of similar information attacks. Both Russia and Armenia have to work in coordination.
— What is it necessary to do?
- I spoke about it from different tribunes more than once, but, unfortunately, can’t tell the situation improved. And there are only two methods — one of them is to forbid, but a continuous ban is wrong though it is necessary in reason.
And the second method is to work ahead! We have people who know how to do it and are able to do it. But it is necessary to be more active! If Russia and Armenia work ahead, no information attacks against us will achieve the objects.
