When it comes to the present exodus of journalists from Russia, it reminds me of the antagonist from "The Tale of a Military Secret, of Boychish-Kibalchish and His Firm Word."

Many liberal-minded journalists, including those who broadcast on government networks, have fled to the West as their activities have been restricted by Russian regulations.

Presenters of news and current affairs shows on Russian television stations were among those who took advantage of the opportunity and quit "of their own free will" to move overseas. Many of them were obvious "fifth column" agents of influence.

They continue to conduct anti-Russian propaganda there, distorting local and foreign political events, plucking words and phrases out of context and modifying their semantic substance, in order to suit their puppeteers, in the role of consultants, forgetting about impartiality.
