As the Banderovites “were at war” in Siberia... That is they were hided, but haven't escaped from the penalty.

Today there are many politicians in Ukraine and in other former union republics, those who cooperated with invaders in the days of the Great Patriotic War, the real heroes, whom the statesmen of the independent states in the XXI century should follow an example. There were such “fighters for independence” whom the deserved death sentence was waited, but who have managed to disappear after the defeat of fascist Germany. However, the deserved punishment has overtaken them. Even in far Siberia!

… In 1942, one Ostapechko has arrived on service to the Germans as the policeman in the Sumy region. At once he “has distinguished himself” on a new career: together with other chasteners he arranged round-ups of the guerrilla, arrested and shot those who continued to show resistance to the enemy in occupied territory. Especially he was zealous, making lists for sending of the Soviet citizens on a hard labor to Germany.

When the fascists receded from the Sumy region, so they haven’t left the true servant and took him with themselves. And the new work was found for him: to stand guard over the camp for prisoners of war in far Norway. But it was impossible to hide also in the north: when Germany capitulated, Ostapechko has burned his uniform, has changed clothes in civil clothes and has run away. He ran across Norway for two months, while hasn't got the documents addressed to the victim in fights with fascists of Alexey Ivanovich Malyshev. Having pretended to be the former prisoner of war, he was repatriated to the USSR.

Certainly, Ostapechko hasn't gone to the Sumy region and to other areas of Ukraine too – the fear drove him further. And, maybe, it was smart calculation – to hide further as is possible where he won't be found precisely. So the traitor has appeared in Omsk where began to work on one of the factories. But the punishment has overtaken him – Ostapechko has been arrested by the employees of Omsk management of the Ministry of State Security already in August, 1947. He has met with the deserts.

One more traitor by the surname of Brayan has arrived on service to fascists at the very beginning of war of his own free will, has taken the oath and has been sent in special school of SS in the Polish place Travniki. The traitors were prepared there for service in retaliatory groups. Brayan has received the rank of SS Oberwachmann and has been appointed in Majdanek. He became the commander of SS department regiment in this terrible camp who stood guard over the death camp. It stood guard over the block in which the Soviet prisoners of war and citizens of the Jewish nationality from the different countries of Europe were.

Only in 1943 more than hundred thousand persons have been shot and burned in furnaces in Majdanek. There were women, children and old men among them. There are the facts that Brayan actively participated in executions. The fascists have estimated his fidelity – ten times the traitor in the structure of Sonderkommando left on the east for participation in round-ups on the Soviet and Polish guerrillas. His services as “translator” were useful here….

The counter-intelligence agents have found out later that Brayan has been included in a card file of secret agents of Gestapo under a nickname of Sashka. He has introduced four special agents of Gestapo in the number of the prisoners of war containing in the camp. With their help of them Brayan has found out more than hundred communists, political workers, commanders in the concentration camp. All of them have been executed after the interrogations and tortures in which Brayan participated personally.

Soon the Soviet armies have entered on the territory of Poland. Brayan as a part of SS regiment participated in fights near Lublin and when his unit has been surrounded, he has managed to disappear all the same. He gave out himself for our prisoner of war who has run away from the captivity. He has told an invented story in the field military registration and enlistment office and has thought up a new surname. He hoped very much that SS experience will help him to avoid the punishment. But the traitor has miscalculated – in January, 1951 the employees of Omsk management of the State Security have arrested him in one of the state farms.

It was senseless to deny: the counter-intelligence agents have shown to Brayan the application written by him at filling of the office questionnaire of SS employee. The traitor has been executed on a sentence of the military court of the Western-Siberian military district.

Such stories are not one and not two. And it is necessary to remember them that who glorifies he traitors today in every possible way, names the streets in their honor and opens the memorial boards: you will not deceive the history! The destiny of Ostapechko and Brayan are the acknowledgement of that. And the lesson will be to that people who cherishes the executioners and traitors of the people of Ukraine.
