Latvia dies out. The reason is the infringement of the rights of the Russians. Chapter III: to expel a chimera!

All the above-listed myths became a basis for building of the present ethnic "chimera" in Latvia. The postulate on occupation has generated the existence of a disgusting phenomenon of mass stateless. The ideology about the Latvians as the unique state formative people has caused obviously the unequal position for members of other national communities, even for owners of the Latvian citizenship. Not without reason the share of the Latvians in machinery of state makes approximately 93 % in present time. Hence: “profession is the Latvian”, “profession is a national shot”, etc. Even if the Russians naturalize and cope with the Latvian language - all of them equally extremely reluctantly are taken for work in the state machinery, in municipal operating control...

At last, the position about the Latvian language as the only state language and the Russian as foreign language, have seriously facilitated the supremacy maintenance with an ethnic chimera. In the beginning of 90th the Russians knew the Latvian language badly in the basic mass and it gave the grounds not to suppose the Russian citizens to public service, to employment of supervising posts not only on state but also at private enterprises. There was also a possibility to forbid the part of active Russian citizens to politicize because of bad knowledge of the Latvian language. The creation of actively operating language commissions and nowadays allows to hold successfully under a press of psychological pressure a great bulk of the Russian population. Constantly conducted approach to the rests of the Russian formation gives the chance to lower competitive potential of the Russian-speaking. Even the full transfer of schools to the Latvian language of training won’t eradicate the Russian language anyway in our country. The other matter is that they will know it on weak “three”. However, the child who is compelled to study in nonnative language and obviously gets education of low quality so he will be less competitive on a labor market.
There is a well-grounded opinion that if we wish to provide the exclusion of Latvia from an economic precipice and its further prosperity, so it is necessary to finish the regime of ethnic antagonism and to start building completely the Latvian nation equal in rights in which the rights of both the Latvians and representatives of national minorities would be equally presented. If would be possible to achieve, so the operating controls in the country will start to be completed by a principle of real abilities and talents, instead of criterion of “origin” and “ideological loyalty”.

In general, it would be good that the population express themselves in two languages or even three in the country – it is possible to add English but not to the detriment of an educational level and own cultural roots. Nobody objects to that the Latvian is necessary to learn and know. As to the Russian, it is possible to discuss its status. Here the variants are possible: from granting of a rank of the second state language to the status of “official language” which can be used in an education system, in self-management in places of compact residing of the Russian-speaking community etc. The Russian-speaking tax payers have quite deserved, that the Russian schools would be financed from their taxes, carried out action for support of the Russian culture, that they could use the language without psychological discomfort. Certainly, it is not to manage without eradication of shameful institute of non citizenship.

All that taken together can provide the growth of patriotism of the Russian community in relation to the residing country and would help them to identify themselves as children of mother, instead of the stepmother of Latvia. The degree of heat of international enmity and mistrust will fall down that give the chance to pass already to purely economic measures on republic rescue. The essence and the maintenance of these measures are worthy a separate big material. However, it is important to realize accurately: the process of healing of “patient” is necessary to begin not with economy but with a policy in the Latvian case. Because to save ourselves, we need to unite firstly.
