Party “Ukraine - Forward!” – there can be no cooperation with the Party of Regions

The deputy of Kiev City Council, the Head of the constant commission of questions of a family, youth and sports, the candidate in People's Deputies from Natalia Korolevska’s party “Ukraine – Forward!” Victor Nikolaevich Naumko tells about a pre-election situation in Ukraine in interview to the Internet portal “The world and we”.

Your political force is oppositional. What are the main shortcomings of actions of the existing power?

I would paraphrase – what the power does correctly in general? Politicians of an old sample should retire and have a rest a little. They have other thinking about the development of Ukraine, about welfare of the people - they think more of the pockets and successors. Today already the family contracts try to come into the Verkhovna Rada – sons, husbands, wives. Go under different political flags. Therefore the situation in Ukraine should be changed. We have a young party which is ready to replace all these “Kim Chen Ir – professionals” and to change the life to the best.

If to say about the economic aspect – what is the difference of that your party offers and what the Party of Regions does?

There is nothing similar meanwhile that they do and that we offer. If you read our program, you will see essentially new economic block there. All that the Party of Regions and communists do whom today in the power too, catastrophically affects the country and a population standard of living. For example, the increase of a retirement age till 65 years when our people live till only 62 years on the average. It is clear that they made it not to pay the pensions. And money which are taken today in an offshore, was possible to leave in Ukraine and to pay salaries, pensions and to lift economy of Ukraine. When there is money and investments come from abroad, then there is an economy development. But today we develop Cyprus and other foreign states by our money.

How the relations of your party with other opposition forces develop? Is your block going to be in a coalition with them?

I will tell personally from myself – yes, we should unite with opposition forces and make everything to change the power in Ukraine. We support all democratic forces which will divide our positions. I think today we have one of the best programs of that represented by opposition forces. Therefore we will cooperate both with the United Opposition and Vitaly Klitschko's block “Udar”.

How does your party treat a language question and recently adopted law on languages. How the situation in this sphere should develop – there should be two state languages or one?

I consider that we live in Ukraine and we should have one state language – the Ukrainian. For some reason France, Poland or Russia have no second state language. Nobody forbids us to communicate in the Russian language. I think that this law is a pre-election course again to divide the nation on Russian-speaking, any minority that it was easier to head the country and it is easier to hold an election, because people distract from the problems which are in the country today. And this is, first of all, the sheer poverty of people who don't live, but survive for scanty salaries and pensions. People are brought to a despair – they can't normally buy neither some bread, nor milk.

There is a set of comments that there are private arrangements on cooperation between some opposition parties and the party in power. Some parties even openly call the projects of Party of Regions. Is it represents the facts?

I think that such information is extended specially by Party of Regions in order to lower a rating of all opposition forces. They inspire to people that all parties identical, all want to cooperate with them. But I think that people are already politically grounded today and don't trust to these hearings, know the price to similar statements. I can tell about our political force - we are completely opposition and there is no and can’t be any cooperation with the Party of Regions.

We are the democratic force which wants to change the life in Ukraine cardinally that it would be a worthy life. And a salary in 1000 Euros and pension in 500 Euros – all this is real. Simply in the country, firstly, it is necessary to steal less, secondly to lift the economy. Because the economy in the country belongs to several oligarchs today who try take all under “roof” and to exploit.

How do you estimate the prospects of your party on overcoming of 5 % barrier and entry into parliament?

I think that our political force will gain about 8 % as rating measurements show it. About 20-25 people according to the list will pass and new leaders will pass there who go today on majority system. There are representatives who have a high rating, population support. I think that about 40 people, the representatives of “Ukraine – Forward!” should be in new parliament.

What are your forecasts by results of the main political forces on upcoming elections? What party will receive most of all places in parliament?

I do not want to guess – let's wait October 29 and everything will see. All that we are spoken today by sociological services are an attempt of creation of an agiotage. It is the attempt to inspire to people that today there is such rating at this or that party. I have a wide experience of participation in elections and I know that very often the proclaimed ratings can strikingly differ from the end result. And on October 29 we will see the present report and a deal of the one who passes in the Verkhovna Rada, both in political parties and in majority districts.
