“Protest” pressure upon Ukraine is the aspiration of the USA to weaken Russia

The known Kiev political scientist Alexander Alekseevich Bulavin tells to the Internet portal «The world and we» about the true reasons of coercion of Ukraine to entry into EU and forecasts of rather further protest activity in Ukraine.

— In your opinion what are the disorders occurring in Kiev — well planned action, probably, supported from abroad or validly manifestation of national indignation in connection with refusal of signing of the Agreement on association with EU?

The power is guilty itself that occurs and in many respects created occasions because of which these events began. On the one hand, it is the sharp deterioration of an economic situation in the country which was reflected in economic and social situation of people. On the other hand is the inability to carry on dialogue with society. And the third moment is connected with that the power played too with E. U. The experts write very convincing analyses for a year about unacceptability of signing of the Agreement on association with EU at this stage.

It is known that some reports not only from dear institutions of such type as the Institute of World Economy and International Relations, but also even from the Ministry of Economics of Ukraine laid down on a table to the president. Also it was not yesterday, but about half a year back. And, nevertheless, only in ten days prior to the summit in Vilnius the decision not to sign association was made. Naturally, it very seriously stirred up society, and the authorities remembered everything.

It is certain that there is an external intervention in these questions. And quite strong influence is connected not so much by that the USA want to change the government in Ukraine, as many because the USA want «to clamp» Russia from all directions. And in this situation after loss in Syria, after loss with Snowden this coercion of Ukraine to entry into EU is only a roof under which the events for change of a vector of geopolitical development of Ukraine are developed. This strategy, naturally, is conducted by the Americans first of all and there is a set of versions about that, how exactly the USA influence EU and expel on the Ukrainian Maidan of many high-ranking officials from the European countries to provoke the population and somehow to lift a revolutionary spirit.

— What role in this situation is played by the main Ukrainian opposition forces? Do you agree with Vladimir Putin’s statement that disorders in Kiev have more internal political character?

I completely agree with this position. The president of the Russian Federation very precisely caught a situation in Ukraine. The matter is that under an occasion of the accession to EU demands absolutely not connected with it were made — requirements about government resignation with simultaneous early presidential and parliamentary elections and release of political prisoners. Thus the main political concluded — Yulia Tymoshenko today the opposition almost doesn’t remember for some reason and her surname isn’t pronounced almost.

Recently on the Maidan Yatsenyuk listed all detainees for disorders at Presidential Administration and other people, detainees, in his opinion, for political reasons, but Tymoshenko’s surname thus was called the last. Therefore here it is clear that it is internal political dismantling. It is necessary to tell that political ratings of leaders of opposition seriously fell. Besides, the president significantly intercepted at them an initiative with the accession to E. U. And now such «rare» opportunity to lift the rating opened here, but it is impossible to them and therefore all these actions have hysterical, provocative character up to opposition with militia. Thus in the mass media bought by EU and the USA, the subject is actively exaggerated that the authorities in power are guilty in all this.

— What, in your opinion, occurred in the night of November 30 during dispersal of the holding a meeting — rigid actions from the authorities or well planned provocation which has been carried out by opposition?

Both parties are guilty in the occurred events. On the one hand, it is for certain planned action. Leaders of the Maidan took out all equipment and weren’t present when there was an attack. Therefore it is unambiguous that they knew what will be. There is even a version that not the real staff of OMON actually beat the children, but certain masked provokers beat them.

The second moment is connected with that the power has to behave here much more strictly and very accurately warn employees that too drastic measures weren’t applied as on those videos which were broadcast, the reasonable limit was really exceeded. But actually there were far not the children. Children and students almost weren’t there— generally there were fighters, people who tried to show the serious resistance of militia who threw burning logs and made other provocative actions. Therefore it is, of course, the answer to that provocation which was made.

— Would Russia give significant support of authorities in power in its opposition to «Euromaidan» developed by obviously westernized forces?

I don’t think that very active support will be given. Firstly, because Russia seeks to observe as much as possible international law and not to interfere with internal affairs. On the other hand, it is obvious that the relation of Russia to the present Ukrainian power is quite skeptic and negative. And therefore it wouldn’t like to participate in it on the party of this power. But if there is a rigid scenario to intervention from the outside in an internal situation in Ukraine, at threat of introduction of armies, I think, here Russia will act quickly, resolutely and will prevent it because it is beyond all existing international norms.

— What is your forecast of further development of a situation?

The opposition counted that it will manage to arrange rough sea in Kiev on December 5 by the beginning of the summit of OSCE that this summit expressed angry condemnation of the power. But provocations weren’t successful.

In this regard that the trust to leaders of opposition fell, further increase of a crisis situation will stop. Among other things, the president took certain steps to hold negotiations — the national round table is organized to calm down the public. People on streets see that there are no changes, that they are used as gun meat and not paying attention that quite good money pays for standing on the Maidan, all the same the situation has to come to naught if there are no extraordinary occasions and provocations, and the power won’t make any most serious mistakes.
