The Crimea will reject the pressure of far right radicals from the Western Ukraine to Kiev

The chairman of the All-Crimean movement «Russian Veche», the deputy of the Bakhchisaray city council, the head of regional office of the International social movement «Open Confederation of the European and Asian People» in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Konstantin Sergeyevich Knyrik tells about a situation in the Crimea in interview to «The world and we».

— What is your relation to decisions of parliament of the Crimea of February 4 about modification of the Constitution of the Autonomous republic and the appeal to Russia as to the guarantor of firmness of the autonomous status of the Crimea? Are they timely and adequate in connection with the situation which has developed in the country?

It is difficult to call these decisions timely as in due time in 1994 — 1995 it wasn’t necessary to lose that status and those powers which the autonomy had. And in the light of events in Kiev these decisions are quite logical because in the territory of Ukraine the conversations on federalization sound all the time. In case really absolutely lawless, boundless and, inherently, foreign forces come today to the power in Ukraine, the Crimea is after all today the only territorial unit which possesses the autonomy status at least in the name and has the right to use such opportunity. It is quite actual and it corresponds to expectations of inhabitants of the Crimea both with economic, and from the political point of view. We give money to the central budget which is so necessary to us on the peninsula for development too much. Therefore the requirement of expansion of the rights of the autonomy is one of the main.

Besides, if we weren’t so dependent on continental Ukraine, long ago would give the worthy status to the Russian language that unambiguously corresponds to expectations of inhabitants of the Crimea, we would forbid the activity of the extremist organizations and parties such as «Svoboda». It would give the chance to us for active and stable development.

— What do you think of that in connection with these decisions of the Supreme Council of the Crimea SBU started the criminal case with the formulation «preparation for infringement of territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine»? Is such reaction the manifestation of double standards, after all in relation to far right radicals such measures aren’t taken?

From the legal point of view the article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine according to which the case was started, is extremely difficult to prove. From my point of view nobody «told» on this article in the Supreme Council of the Crimea. Today we are in a legal framework of the state of Ukraine. But in case this legal framework in the territory of Ukraine is lost, if capture of office buildings, if someone appoints himself the president, will start distributing instructions, the illegitimate national will be created, respectively, if the legitimate legislative field is absent, and we can act within exclusively Crimean constitution and to make decisions by means of parliament.

And in general the policy of double standards is very often used in Ukraine. You shouldn’t draw a parallel only with the Maidan or only with a situation in the Crimea. Striking example is the Homeland party leader Igor Markov. Without any proofs he was accused that once, maybe, he hit someone on a face, and was deprived of the mandate and put in prison for that. And here people in the open are engaged in marauding, burn down the militiamen with Molotov’s cocktails, openly go in the centre of Kiev with the weapon and aren’t imprisoned.

There is still an example of the Crimean Cossack Vitaly Petrovich Khramov who was deported for political views, having found, allegedly, a photocopy of the Russian passport, having reasoned that in Ukraine the dual citizenship is forbidden. But thus the potential candidate for president from westernized forces Vitaly Klitschko has a dual citizenship too, but nobody deports him.

Therefore I consider that it is necessary to be engaged in real criminals, instead of to look for separatists. I am firmly convinced that inhabitants of the Crimea are capable to understand, what way of development to choose, and there is nothing illegal in it. If the state of Ukraine loses a legal framework, the Crimea has the right to address not only to Russia, but also in the UN, and in other organizations for stability preservation.

— How do you estimate the results of the All-Ukrainian forum of regional councils and the Supreme Council of the Crimea which took place in the Livadia palace on February 12 in which the representatives of all regional councils, except eight western areas and Kiev took part?

In this case the timeliness issue is actual. If this forum took place about 20 years ago when the state of Ukraine was formed, it would be actual. Still Vyacheslav Chernovol honoured by all Ukrainian nationalists spoke about federalization. And the idea is quite good, but the delay of the holding of such forum is about 20 years. Will the options discussed there be realized is a big question. Because too many statements, which now sound, remain only the statements.

— For what purpose you and your adherents resumed the activity of «Pavel Sudoplatov movement of anti-fascists of the Crimea»? Will this movement be able actively to resist to neo-fascist threat in Ukraine?

We saw the rhetoric of some political parties which on an anti-fascism subject, without having neither political, nor experiment field started creating any «fronts» which by the form reminded the next attempt to lift the political rating. We consider that today before real threat which is in Ukraine, it is necessary to create not political public relations on an anti-fascism subject, but real movements which are capable to defend the peace and tranquillity if necessary. And the founders of this movement are the people who heroically carried the red banner of the Victory in the Russian city Lviv on May 9, 2011. Those people who took numerous part in dispersal of fascist marches in the city of Kiev entered it, these are the people having practical experience.

And we, resuming the activity of this structure, plan to depart as much as possible from any policy and not to turn it into public relations. Today there is the structure, capable to react to any provocation in the territory of the Crimea and the Southeast. These are the people having practical experience who were in such situations and know firsthand as it is necessary to behave with those fascist groups which seized today the centre of Kiev.

— What have to be, in your opinion, the actions of the authorities in the developed critical political situation which, in fact, is the attempt of violent revolution? What is the role of the western countries and NPO in this process?

First of all, it is necessary to return all events to the legislative course. It is obvious that first of all it is necessary to disperse all these «protesters» whom really remained very little in the centre of Kiev. And further to undertake a number of consecutive political steps — to raise a question of federalization on the state level and to hold a referendum about the Constitution of 2014 and about the direction of integration of Ukraine.

Today the president holds the post only thanks to voters of the pro-Russian Southeast of Ukraine. Therefore the power has to tell today that we carry out a vector on rapprochement with the brotherly states, we enter the Customs Union and we plan to take active part in formation of future Eurasian Union.

And it turns out that we both against fascism and for cooperation with the Customs Union, but thus our course on European integration is invariable. For the Southeast these theses of the power are unclear — it is necessary to be defined accurately. On the other hand, if the authorities in power declare — we go strictly a course for European integration, then the Southeast will draw the conclusions, and I won’t be surprised to the same Maidan, but already on the other hand. While the Southeast patiently watches all events thus without having allowed a lawlessness in its territory.

Concerning the participation of non-profit organizations — there was a system work of the American and other intelligence services in the territory of Ukraine. Also it lasted about 20 years. All conditions for the organization of those events which we now observe were prepared and created during this time. In the first days the mass actions on the Maidan were organized thanks to the sectarian churches created with support of the American funds. And the huge number of money is allocated for these tasks.

Thus, the position of Russia about non-interference surprises me as the Russian person. America in the open divides here the posts and solves whom to put where, but Russia for some reason abstains and is included by tolerance. I consider that Russia has to have an accurate position on the relation at least to a question of protection of the Russian people in Ukraine, after all they are 20 million people here.
