The USA examine a question of entrance ban of members of the Ukrainian party “Svoboda” to the country

The powerful international organization the World Forum of Russian Jewry addressed with an appeal to the governments of the western countries to forbid the entrance to EU and the United States of the leaders of the Ukrainian parliamentary party “Svoboda”. In the open letter of the World Forum of Russian Jewry it is claimed that the fascism threat in Ukraine became real because of activity of this party.

Here is the text of this letter:

“The twentieth century gave the bloody reasons to the Jewish people to treat the torch processions with big alarm. We well remember how all began in democratic Germany when the columns of storm troopers marched on streets with the lit torches, sowing the appeals to hatred and robbery. We remember what it everything ended — with coming to power of totalitarian party of national socialists against an economic crisis, unemployment and paralysis of old institutes of the Weimar republic, Babi Yar and stoves of Auschwitz.

In 80 years after January, 1933, in January of 2013th, we see again the marching columns with burning torches. There is Khreshchatyk instead of Unter den Linden, there are the chants “Ukraine for Ukrainians!” instead of appeals “Germany for Germans!”.

Authors of the letter express the most serious alarm in connection with lifting of radical nationalism in the modern Ukraine. In their opinion, the situation in 2013 can develop according to the gloomiest scenarios especially considering the deterioration of an economic situation in the country and the aggressive group which has appeared within the walls of the Verkhovna Rada of 37 deputies-members of Svoboda:

“We address to the western public, to the Congress and US State department, to leaders of the European Union and to the political leaders of the State of Israel with an appeal to combine the efforts on the international isolation of Svoboda party, its leaders and deputies. These national extremists have to become the derelicts in the civilized world. The USA, Europe and Israel have to subject this group to boycott and let know clearly that nobody in the West will deal with these fans of ethnic cleanings and pupils of Nazi collaborators …”

Let's remind that in 1999, when the nationalist Jörg Haider (who was lost in auto accident in the middle of the 2000th years) won on the election in Austria, the reaction of the European Union was the sharpest.

This organization uniting 15 states, immediately entered sanctions against Austria with the purpose to isolate it in the diplomacy sphere – it forbade the contacts with the Austrian ambassadors at high level and also occupation of important posts in bodies of EU by the Austrian officials.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Joschka Fischer called Haider's ideology as “related to national socialism”. “Europe can do without Austria, declared the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium Luis Michel, from now it would be immoral to go skiing in Haider’s Austria.”

“We won't begin to behave in relation to this government as if this is the normal government, told the representative of the president of France Jacques Chirac on communication with the press to the correspondent of Newsweek magazine. This is sad and negative succession of events”.

Until recently the reaction of the USA and EU on provocation of the All-Ukrainian Union “Svoboda” was, to put it mildly, not absolutely adequate. More precisely, it wasn't absolutely. Time will show, whether are the values widely advertised by it truth in final instance for the Western world or they serve as cover for carrying out the mercenary political goals.
