The voice against falsification of the history of the Second World War is loudly raised in Moldova!

The round table “About responsibility for the Second World War beginning” which was organized by the Commonwealth fund and passed in the conference hall of the Russian center of science and culture in the Republic of Moldova.

The president and the founder of fund Igor Tulyantsev told about the main objectives and fund tasks before the discussion beginning. He noted that the main objective of Commonwealth fund is the support of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the Russian-speaking schools and also the assistance and financial support of the Russian organizations with a view of their unity for protection and development of cultural values of the Russian people and also the support of compatriots in the territory of Moldova.

Today, many historians, public and politicians, representatives of diplomatic missions, mass media and the ethno-cultural organizations, political scientists and sociologists expressed the wish take part in discussion of very hot topic especially when the numerous attempts of falsification of history are undertaken, especially of the Second World War events.

All participants of action noted the high level of the organization of discussion and emphasized the subject urgency. The situation for fund creation has ripened right now. There were the representatives of all large Russian organizations in the Republic of Moldova, among whom there were Lyudmila Lashchenova - the chairman of the board of the Russian community of Moldova, Peter Dontsov - the chairman of Coordination council of the Russian communities, Alexander Verkhashansky representing the student's community of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR), the representative of the organization “Young Russia”, Dmitry Borodin - the leader of the youth movement “Young Republic” from PMR, Igor Deli - the representative of the the youth organization “New people”, Valentin Rabitsky - the director of the Russian center of science and culture. Also there were also the politicians: Mikhail Garbuz - the chairman of the party “Patriots of Moldova”, Victor Stepanyuk - the chairman of the National socialist party of Moldova, Vasily Tarlev - the ex-prime minister of Moldova, Feodor Gagauz - the deputy of the Bashkan of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, Edward Smirnov, representing the the executive committee of PSRM.

The leader of the round table Boris Shapovalov, the director of Commonwealth fund firstly took the floor. He set the tone to discussion, having sounded the major historic facts connected with the beginning of the Second World War:

“More than 60 years the western propaganda hides the original reasons of this war and forges its history, aspiring to shift the responsibility for an initiation of war on the Soviet management, justifying the policy of the USA, Great Britain and France.

The fight of the leading world powers for sources of raw materials and sales markets was the deep reasons of the First and Second world wars. The Second World War was developed gradually by escalation of aggression of the fascist states against the separate countries under the lee of “fight against the Bolshevism”. The policy sounded by the English conservative lord Lloyd prevailed in the West: “We will provide the freedom of action to Japan against the USSR. We will open the road to the East to Germany and by that we will provide the possibility of expansion so necessary for it”. Great Britain and France have signed the declarations on non-aggression with Germany, openly having directed the fascist aggression to the East, against the USSR.

The agreement signing in Munich on September 30, 1938 by Great Britain, France, Germany and Italy about the division of Czechoslovakia is quite possible to call nowadays as “Day of the complicity of the western powers to fascism and the Second World War beginning”. All states of continental Europe supported Germany in fight against the USSR. Spain, Denmark and Croatia sent the armed forces on the Soviet-German front without official declaration of war. The arms and equipment of 200 divisions of the European countries, including 92 French, 45 Czechoslovak, 22 Belgian, 18 Dutch, 12 English and 6 Norwegian were used for active participation in war”.

The participants of the round table spoke against the attempts of history falsification, having noted a role of the western countries in complicity of aggression of fascist Germany that became the reason of the bloodiest war in the history.

The purpose of discussion was to disprove the opinion of the western historians concerning the fault of the Soviet Union at the beginning of war and to unite society in order to avoid the situation repetition of 30 - 40th years.

During discussion the Doctor of Politics Sergey Nazariya has told: “Today the issue of the reasons of the beginning of the Second World War becomes complicated and forged in every possible way because the history is the geopolitics tool. Only the Soviet Union was happy with results of this war, but then it was impossible to change something. However since 90th year, when a ratio of forces in the world has changed, the growth of a tendency of history falsification of the Second World War began. Today the USA uses the history for achievement of the geostrategic and political tasks. It should be noted that the frivolous historians who are carrying out the task of political forces are engaged in falsification of history”.

The political scientist Igor Kucher noted that the Second World War was the war of ideologies and has added: “The USSR won owing to its ideology. Now our country goes on the way to war because of ideology too”.

The president of the national congress of industrialists and businessmen of the Republic of Moldova Vasily Tarlev thanked the organizers of action: “Many thanks to the initiators of this meeting. I think that they should be carried out more often as it is possible. All of us are the adherents and should develop together the plan of action against the promotion of history falsification and protect our youth from unreliable information. I wish success to Commonwealth fund which takes the first steps. I am ready to help and to promote this fund in every possible way”.
The chairman of the board of the Russian community of Moldova Lyudmila Lashchenova noted the importance of existence of the Commonwealth fund: “I congratulate the Commonwealth fund and its president Igor Tulyantsev with the work beginning. The Russian community of Moldova supports this fund and will cooperate with it in all positive affairs”.

The discussion ended with adoption of the resolution with which all present agreed. The resolution underlines, that exactly the policy of Great Britain, France and the USA promoted the development of fascism aggression. The participants of the round table urged society to fight against the historical lack of information of the youth.
