Ukraine is frightened of the Eurasian Union to make the West colony-puppet of it

Several weeks ago the terrible statements were sounded from the European Union that the way to Europe will be closed for Ukraine because of non-observance of the European values by it. But the tonality of statements has “unexpectedly” changed at last session of European Parliament – now Europe persistently calls Ukraine. “Europe uses the stick and carrot method to tire out Ukraine into the European integration”, Alexander Vladimirovich Golub, the People's Deputy of Ukraine, fraction KPU confirms. The purpose of these decisions is to prevent the development of integration relations between Ukraine and Russia. He tells about these and other themes in interview to our Internet portal.

- It is declared about the regime of “most favored treatment” to Ukraine in the European integration questions in last resolutions of the European Parliament. Despite condemnation of the Ukrainian authorities because of Timoshenko's case, the statements of intent are made to ratify the Association Agreement as soon as possible and to hasten the visa-free regime acceptance. Whether are these decisions of the European Parliament be the reaction to new integration offers to Ukraine from Russia on the project of creation of the Eurasian Union?

- It is necessary to notice that Timoshenko's destiny is absolutely indifferent to the European Union and those structures which are connected with it. There are certain geopolitical interests which are pursued by the European Union and in this case there is the purpose – not to admit the integration on the post-Soviet territory. Therefore those statements which sound, signals which arrive to Ukraine, first of all are equitable to these interests. It is the attempt to tire out Ukraine into the European integration or with the help of stick or carrot. And it doesn't mean that they consider Ukraine as partner equal in rights. They are interested in the territories, economic gains and nothing more.

Does the European Union consider Ukraine as an advanced post of influence on Russia, on its policy in this case?

- Not only and not so much the European Union, but USA consider Ukraine as the base for the anti-Russian actions in a greater degree. Namely these aims are pursued through the European Parliament decisions.

Anatoly Gritsenko, the People's Deputy of party “NU-NS” has declared that the entry of Ukraine into the Eurasian economic community can lead to split of the country. How the assumptions are much well-founded in your opinion and what political forces can promote such split?

- On the contrary, not entry of Ukraine in this community can lead to split of the country. In my opinion, there is no alternative of entry into the Eurasian Economic Community and created Eurasian Union for Ukraine. Or it becomes the colony and the puppet of the West for the anti-Russian actions, or it becomes the supporter of the Eurasian Union equal in rights with all economic and political pluses in this format. There is no other alternative. It is absolutely clear that it is much more perspective both economically and socially and in many other directions. The role of the puppet and base suits small amount of politicians and political forces, such as “NU-NS” and Anatoly Gritsenko, but it does not correspond to the interests of Ukraine and the people as a whole.

The mass actions of the citizens of Chernobyl and Afghans become more and more strained. There are two estimations of this situation. The authorities assert that it is simply the struggle for private interests by inadequate methods. The opposition asserts that this is the consequence of system crisis in Ukraine and more scale performances will follow soon. In your opinion, what estimation is more adequate?

- The protest actions are absolutely justified from the point of view of a sociopolitical situation in the country, adequate to a policy which is spent by the present government and the president. The other matter is that these actions are used by a part of representatives of “Party of Regions” for pressure upon the President of Ukraine and for change of a foreign policy in this case. I am absolutely convinced of it because also financing of these actions and their orientation are aimed today directly against Victor Yanukovich. Not against the existing system, but namely against him. Unfortunately, it is the internal political game which does not concern the future of Ukraine.

If the protest actions get out of hand and become more mass how the Communist Party of Ukraine will act in this situation?

- Firstly, they will not get out of hand because completely supervised by those forces which finance them and spend. Secondly, the Communist Party of Ukraine considers that the essence of these actions, the opposition between work and the capital, is absolutely justified, this opposition should be, but should conduct not simply to change of political leaders who are in Ukraine today, but to change of the political system operating in the country. This is the fundamental difference between motives of sponsors, participants of these actions and position of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
