Andrey Safonov: West task is full replacement of Russia from Ukraine and Moldova

At our request the president of Association of independent political scientists of Transnistria Andrey Safonov estimated the results of the parliamentary elections which took place quite recently in Moldova. We will remind that Andrey Safonov was elected the deputy of parliament of Moldova (1990−1992), was a part of the first government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, was the Minister of Education of PMR.

- As a result of parliamentary elections of Moldova on November 30 there is a coalition in power which is oriented to the USA, the EU and Romania. There are three parties in it. It is Liberal and Democratic, Democratic and Liberal (the last unites in the ranks the frank supporters of accession of Moldova to Romania).

How it turned out when preliminary polls showed that over 50% of voters of Moldova support the entry of the country in the Customs Union? We will lean only on those facts that are indisputable.

The first. In Russia there are several hundred thousand of citizens of Moldova who work there. It is called a figure from 700 thousand to 1 million people. They could be the outcome of the case. It is clear they won’t vote for the integration of Moldova into the EU fraught with elimination of production in the country. These are the pro-Russian voters! But that in Russia only 5 sites with 15 thousand ballots were actually open, they were sidelined as a matter of fact.

The second. During pre-election fight many points were scored by Patria party («Homeland») to which different analysts gave from 10 to 20% of votes. «Patria» and its actual head Renato Usaty declared intention to denounce the contract on association of Moldova with E. U. Moreover, it was supposed that the block on this subject between «Patria» and Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova which is led by the deputy of parliament of Moldova Igor Dodon is possible.

The Party of Communists could be invited to join this estimated block, whose management declared in recent months, however, that it isn’t necessary to refuse association with the E. U. But if the offer of PCRM and «Patria» was heard after elections, then it would be difficult to Party of Communists to refuse it. However, «Patria» was removed from elections literally some days before the vote. And the considerable part of supporters of this formation simply doesn’t go on elections.
And, meanwhile, some calculations gave only 35% of voices to parties of the ruling «Coalition of the pro-European board» before elections. Generally, it is possible to draw conclusions of event …

Now let’s talk about the main thing, in my opinion. The West (in the person of, first of all, the USA and their allies from among part of EU countries) pays to elections in Moldova extraordinary attention in coordination with events in Ukraine. Washington wishes to create threat of Russia — both military and political. Therefore the purpose of American «hawks» consists in a complete elimination of the Russian influence in the southwest of the former Union.

It sounds banal, but it is so. For this purpose the Westerners should spread anti-Russian, including frankly nationalist, modes which would dance for sure to tune of the USA and to a lesser extent, E. U. Tactics are different: in Moldova it is control over the country through the ruling parliamentary majority, in Ukraine — through civil war and transformation of this CIS country, the second for power, in «Post-Soviet Somalia».

It is staked on war at borders of Russia. That is why even in the documents accepted by the American legislators, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia are considered as that is called in one «package».

Tactically, it appears, the West and Romania are aimed at fixing control over the most part of Ukraine (at opportunity, to subordinate also Donbass); to exclude a turn of Moldova towards the Customs Union and then to take Transnistria in a rigid ring and to suffocate it.

Fight between the USA and Russia for influence in the republics of the former USSR will only become aggravated. It can’t be differently as there is a real danger of the Third World war. From the political point of view, Moldova, Transnistria and Ukraine are only one of sites of the global front.
