Pyotr Shornikov: “Political elite of Moldova is the solid group of politicians!”

The Doctor of History Pyotr Shornikov was twice elected in parliament of the Republic of Moldova so to judge what occurs today in the republic may as the scientist and as the politician:

- In the 90th years in Romania there was very authoritative prime minister Nicolae Vakaroiu. I listened to his lecture on economy; there were the theses that if Romania will obey to EU standards, it will turn into a pasture for cattle and into a potato field. It won’t be made nothing else! Even the grape — as it is more favourable to grow up it in more southern countries … For resistance to European integration aspirations he was displaced.

His successor was put in a chair for two months — for that time that is was necessary for the solution of the main questions. Then he was banished … For incompetence and so on. But the power plants were privatized, the price of electricity grew in Romania, and thereby the cost of all industrial output and agricultural too. As a matter of fact all country was economically lowered.

And the Customs Union means something opposite. Each country — the participant of the Customs Union — receives certain preferences in economic activity. Each of them gets the bottomless Russian market for realization of the goods, cheaper energy carriers. It is favourable in pure form!

Why the process is blocked? It is connected only with the political reasons if it is a question of official Kishinev. The people are for the Customs Union, for elimination of all barriers between Russia, Ukraine, Moldova and other subjects of the union. But when we speak about political elite, it is a question of any solid groups of politicians who control some parties. They control also the state mass media. And as a result there was a strange situation: the people look to the east, and governors to the west.

Who will get the best? This question is unresolved. But in interests of the people, certainly, the entry of Moldova and Ukraine into structure of the Customs Union.

In Moldova the political struggle always developed under the influence of external force fields. It occurred always, it was felt from 1918 to 1940, in the 80th years and, especially, in the period of independence. Unfortunately, Russia for two decades had no distinct state policy concerning the neighbouring countries, including Moldova.

All that argue in the different states on national liberation fight which ended with disappearance of the Soviet Union is the myth! There were no these movements, there were no political organizations with the fixed membership and appropriate programs. All this was made within the relevant activities from external forces.

Certainly, it is unpleasant to feel that your state is simply a field and object of fight. But it is so! Certainly, it is pleasant to have prospering neighbours who don’t ask anything from you, don’t beg, especially, won’t stand in a pose of the thrown wife who after divorce demands from the husband that he supported her. And after all there was such situation!

And as soon as Russia tries to pass to the international prices — the prices of the world market — as purely propaganda shout about pressure, discrimination etc. rises. What does it mean? All these new independent states are not simply parasites in essence; they still feel themselves as the part of this space — the former USSR.

It is a question of political elite which separate, don’t miss an opportunity to play a dirty trick on the relations of the country with Russia. In each of these states the national historiography which is called «bristled up» is created. They set the people against neighbours and against Russia. They drag the facts in, deceive the public.

Authors of such textbooks in Moldova don’t argue on the history truth in a lobby. They tell that it is more favourable to write! After all they impose the point of view of the neighbouring state. They write textbooks for schools and higher education institutions and bring up new generation as absolutely disoriented people. That they create is promotion, and they are engaged in this business absolutely consciously!
